Nadi in Nadi Joshiyam, therefore, represents the accumulation of wisdom, diligently compiled by the Saptarishis of Hindu Text. Siva Nadi, in particular, embodies the compendium of wisdom that emerged from Shiva and Parvati Amman’s profound dialogue. Nadi science was among the various sciences that Shiva imparted to Parvati Amman, encompassing Ashtanga Yoga, Tantra, and diverse forms of Art and Drama.

The early pioneers of Nadi Joshiyam are credited to be the Saptarishis of Veda: Agasthya, Kausika, Vyasa, Bhrigu, Bhardvaja, Vasishtha, and Valmiki. The Science of Nadi (Agasthya Nadi/Agathiyar Nadi/Siva Nadi) is believed to have originated approximately 2000 years ago, when Maharishi Agasthya meticulously compiled several permutations and combinations of horoscopes, interpreting them in accordance with the principles of astrology. Horoscopes also associate certain physical attributes with thumbprint patterns. This intricate connection allows us to correlate thumbprint patterns with Nadi Joshiyam.
